Hope Garden Ballet, in its 12th year at Healthworks Fitness Center, offers pre-professional as well as recreational classes in Classical Ballet for children. Fran Drayton Ichijo, trained in the Vaganova system, was a soloist with Universal Ballet Company in Seoul, Korea and has been teaching ballet for 30 years. Her dancers have gone on to become Soloists and Principals at Ohio Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Stuttgart, Universal Ballet Company and others. She shares her passion for dance with kindness and fun.

Ballet - All Levels

Ballet I: 4 and 5 year olds. Ballet pink leotard. Mondays 4:30-5:30p.m. 18 classes.

Ballet II: 5-7 year olds. Light blue leotard. Thursdays 4:30-5:30p.m. 19 classes.

Ballet III: 6-8 year olds. Dark blue leotard. Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 p.m. 19 classes.

Ballet IV: 7-9 year olds. Lavender leotard. Wednesdays 4:30-5:30 p.m. 19 classes.

Ballet V: 8-11 year olds with at least 3 years prior training. 2X/week. Black leotard. Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m., Fridays 4:30-6:00 p.m. 38 classes.

Ballet VI/VII: Pre-Pointe and pointe, 9-11 years old. By teacher permission only. 3X/week. Black leotard. Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m., Thursdays 5:30-7:00 p.m., Fridays 6:00-7:30 p.m. 57 classes.

Intermediate Ballet Pointe: 12 years old and up. By director permission only. 5X/week. Mondays thru Fridays 2:45-4:30 p.m (2:45 to 3:00 is warm-up). 95 classes.

Saturday Perfection Class with Mme. Dellas: By Audition Only. Auditions to be held at Healthworks, time and date TBA.

Adult Ballet: All ages TBA.. 19 classes.

The beauty of ballet is achieved through discipline and hard work. In the early stages, the appropriate attire and hair style is key in establishing this discipline. We need all parents to ensure that their children have their hair pulled back neatly off the face and neck in a bun. Please buy the correct color and style leotard (simple, undecorated leotard with short or long sleeves; no skirts, tutus or puffy sleeves. The leotard color for each class is listed above. Proper pale pink tights and ballet shoes are required. Also, please be sure your child arrives on time to class as late arrivals are disruptive to the other children. Thank you for your cooperation.
